GOES weather satellit

GOES weather satellite receive system. I have the 1710-2170 MHz dish from ZDA with Nooelec’s SAWbird+ GOES lna. From the receive hw/sw side I’m going to try 2 different systems. I’m looking at hooking up a RTL-SDR dongle with a Raspberry Pi 3 running rtl-tcp to try and remote it from my father’s antenna farm. Failing that I’ll try it with my RSP-1a. Thoughts? Comments? I’m also wrapping up my 137 MHz QFH antenna build.
